Delete your data
Last updated: 2026-11-04
RecForge III asks for no account: the publisher knows neither your name nor your email address. Here is what exists, where, and how to erase it. Each piece of data is detailed in the Privacy Policy.
Your recordings
They never leave your phone, unless you share them yourself. They are in the "Recordings/RecForge" folder ("Music/RecForge" on Android 10 and 11), or in the folder you chose.
- To delete one: from the app's library, or with a file manager.
- Uninstalling the app does not delete them: they stay in "Recordings/RecForge" (or in your folder) until you erase them.
What the app keeps on the phone
Markers, edit lists, tags, transcripts and settings are in the app's private database. They are erased by uninstalling, or by Android Settings › Apps › RecForge › Storage › "Clear data".
If Android backup is on, the app's settings and cover image may also be backed up to your Google account; that backup is managed in your Google account's settings.
Analytics data and crash reports
- In the app, Settings › Privacy › "Delete my analytics data": this phone's analytics identifier is replaced by a new one, and the analytics data still on the phone is erased.
- Data already sent to Google is not erased by this button: write to dje073@gmail.com quoting your analytics identifier (Settings › Privacy › "Analytics identifier", "Copy" button). The same address is used to ask for the deletion of the Firebase installation identifier and of crash reports.
- To send as little as possible: in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, refuse consent (Settings › Privacy) and turn off "Send crash reports"; the app still fetches its configuration (Firebase Remote Config), and analytics only sends limited signals, with the Firebase installation identifier. Elsewhere, crash reports can be turned off; usage statistics are part of how the app works.
- The advertising ID belongs to Android: you reset or delete it in Android settings (Google › Ads).
Purchase data on the publisher's server
The purchase server keeps a digest of your purchase tokens (never the token itself), the product and the state of the purchase — nothing that names you.
- In the app, Settings › Privacy › "Delete my purchase data on the server": the server erases what it keeps about the purchases the app knows on this phone. Your Premium is not withdrawn.
- Two limits: the digest of a purchase refunded with the right withdrawn is not erased (it stops that right from coming back); and a later notice from Google Play about the same purchase — the renewal of a running subscription, for example — creates a row for it again.
- You can also write to dje073@gmail.com.
Your purchases themselves
They are at Google: their history is in your Google Play account, and Google keeps it. The publisher can neither see nor erase it. Deleting your purchase data on the server does not cancel a subscription: you cancel in Google Play (Settings › Premium › "Manage subscription" takes you there).
